Vinfast India currently has the VF 6, VF 7, and the VF MPV 7 in its consumer fleet. With a few more like the VF 3 and the VF 5 likely to come to India, a wrapped test mule of the latter has been spotted on our roads. Interestingly, this is the next-gen cluster-less iteration, as opposed to the existing VF 5/Herio Green that gets a two-screen setup.
One cosmetic change that we can see, is the design for the tail-light housing. The front section could also be changed a bit to qualify for a facelift. Interestingly, this is a sub-4m offering, which means you're essentially looking at the Vietnamese automaker to attack the Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO/3XO EV segment. Another external change is the clamshell-style bonnet.
Mechanically, the Vinfast VF 5/Herio Green is likely to be powered by a 37.23kWh battery pack paired with a 93bhp motor, delivering a claimed range of about 260km. The existing VF 5 rides on 17-inch tyres.
