RANGE ROVER SPORT ELECTRIC BREAKS COVER AHEAD OF GLOBAL DEBUT: PACKS 550HP, 118.5 KWH BATTERY PACK, AND MORE

Range Rover Sport Electric Range:  Jaguar Land Rover recently showcased the Range Rover Sport electric at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This will be the brand’s second electric model, following the Range Rover Electric. Except for its powertrain, the Range Rover Sport electric is pretty much identical to its ICE counterpart. The electric iteration of the luxury SUV is expected to launch globally in September 2026 and debut in the Indian market by the end of FY26.

Range Rover Sport Electric: Key Highlights

The Range Rover Sport electric is based on the brand’s MLA platform, and technically it shares a lot with the full-size Range Rover. The electric version of the luxury SUV will draw power from a 118.5 kWh battery pack. Dual electric motors are mounted on each axle of the electric SUV, and the combined power output is 550 hp. The SUV also gets regenerative braking but misses out on paddle shifters for manual controls.

Additional exterior bits that separate it from the ICE model are EV badges and aerodynamically optimised wheels. In terms of interior and features, the electric version is expected to remain identical to the ICE version of the luxury SUV. The Range Rover Sport electric is expected to come equipped with 22-way electrically powered front seats with heat and ventilation functionality, a 29-speaker premium audio system, a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen-based infotainment system, a 13.7-inch digital driver’s display, and more.
