2026 MARUTI BREZZA SPECS AND FEATURES LEAKED

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift will finally be here on 24 July and ahead of its arrival, details of the vehicle have been leaked. The biggest addition is that it will get a second engine option, which in this case is the automaker’s 1.0-litre Boosterjet petrol producing 109bhp and 170Nm and while we expected both transmission options, the leaked documents indicate there will only be an MT at the start. The other engine is the existing 1.5 petrol producing 98bhp and 139Nm. This engine will be offered with a five-speed MT or a six-speed AT.
Added Features
One of the big jumps for the Brezza will be an expanded feature list both on the inside and outside. The big exterior update will be LED fog lamps, a new design for the alloy wheels and an underbody CNG tank. Inside it will get ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch infotainment system and 64-colour ambient lighting. These are all features available on the Victoris SUV and are likely to be offered only on the top-spec variants.
Bigger picture
The update for the Maruti Brezza comes at a time when all the major players in the segment have got big upgrades or are set to go through a big change within the next six-eight months. The new engine option will allow Maruti to fully comply with the sub-4 metre rules and thus be able to have a lower starting price. If you look closer all these feature updates are nothing extraordinary or segment-redefining; rather, they are all now minimum requirements and give the Brezza enough to be on the radar of this segment of buyers once again. The rival list is massive with the likes of the Tata Nexon, Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Mahindra XUV3XO, Kia Sonet, Kia Syros, Hyundai Venue and upcoming models like the Renault Bridger, its Nissan sibling and the Honda sub-compact that will arrive next year.
