EICHER MOTORS CUT VEHICLE PRICES AFTER GST REFORMS – CHECK LATEST REDUCTION IN LMD TRUCKS, HD TRUCKS, BUSES RATES
After Tata Motors, Hyundai, Nissan Motor India, Renault India, Mahindra & Mahindra, and other automakers cut the prices of their commercial vehicles, Eicher Motors today joined the list, announcing a significant reduction in the prices of its modern and fuel-efficient trucks and buses, effective September 22.
VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture of the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, today, announced cuts up to Rs 6 lakh, a move aimed at passing on the complete benefit of the recent GST revision to customers.
“Coinciding with the auspicious start of Navratri, Eicher customers purchasing new vehicles from September 22, 2025, can enjoy lower acquisition costs on Eicher’s range of modern and fuel-efficient trucks and buses,” the automaker said in an exchange filing.
VECV customers can now enjoy benefits up to Rs 6 lakh (as per applicable GST rate reduction indicated below.)
- LMD Trucks – Price reduction from Rs 1 to 2 lakh
- HD Trucks - From Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh
- Buses - From Rs 1.1 lakh to Rs 3.4 lakh
Electric trucks and buses continue to enjoy the beneficial rate of 5 per cent GST, the company added.

The initiative will help fleet operators, small businesses, and owner-drivers alike reduce their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), improve profitability, and invest in vehicles that are future ready, the company stated.

Beyond immediate customer benefits, the macro-economic impact is equally significant—lower logistics costs in line with the PM Gati Shakti program, stronger consumer sentiment, and a predicted boost to GDP from heightened activity in logistics and allied industries.”
For truck operators, the GST cut will help ease cost pressures and stimulate demand in freight and logistics, while for buses it will encourage fleet modernisation by state transport corporations and private operators, improving public mobility, Aggarwal stated.
“This festive gift from the government will enable faster adoption of safer, fuel-efficient, and modern Eicher vehicles—strengthening India’s automobile industry and supporting the India’s vision in its Amrit Kaal,” he added.
